Blue Mirror

Welcome to Blue Mirror. This site is about using what science has taught us and applying it to the universal question of who we are and what our place on Earth is. Man's best tool for knowledge, the scientific method, is also our best tool to help us understand who we are. We should use the insights gained from it to improve the stories that we've been telling for a long time. We face many challenges today and I believe the only way to really face them is to know ourselves. To understand what really matters and build on that.

The central thesis is this:

To use our scientific understanding of the world as the basis to think about man’s relation to the rest of the planet. Earth is an intricate web of interrelations between all living and non-living entities that are part of it, and no entity can exist without the others. Assuming that the way the world works can be understood by referring to this world alone (without appealing to any transcendental reality) and man is an inseperable part of the earth too, everything that is thought to be special about mankind is in fact a potentiality of the living earth coming to fruition, including consciousness. Consciousness is as yet most fully developed in man, now able to realize he is not just part of the Earth, but IS the Earth. Realizing this, Earth becomes self-aware in mankind.
