Topics
To order my thinking process and posts, I use a number of topics.
1. Guiding Principles
To build a world view, I need some building blocks. One of the things I have learned studying philosophy at the university is that you can keep questioning everything. Outside of logic, definite proof is impossible to provide. But when thinking about what is important in life you'll have to go way beyond the application of logic. To get anywhere, you need to decide what you'll use as a foundation for your outlook.
2. Meaning of Life
A world view should at least to some extend aspire to answer the question of the ages: what is the meaning of life? Of course I don't have the answer, although I hope my ideas about it will offer you a bit more inspiration and comfort than simply stating you're insignificant at a cosmic scale or the number 42 😊.
3. The Good Life
This topic groups things I found helpful in leading an enjoyable and valuable life. To share what works for me and might for you, as well as to see how they relate to my principles and thinking about the meaning of life.
4. Perspectives
There are so many ways in which the world reveals itself to us, and there is no way we can fully experience it and ourselves when we don't appreciate that all these different perspectives contribute to the whole. We need more than our own outlook to find fulfillment.
